Chris Hughes – President & CEO

Chris Hughes founded OsteoRemedies®, LLC in September 2013. As President & CEO, he has led the company with a vision to be the premier choice for surgeons by providing simple solutions to complex disorders focused on revision and infection remedies. Chris has held various leadership roles throughout his career starting with 4 years’ active duty as Captain, in the United States Army. Since 1993, he has been in the medical device industry in sales, marketing, business development and executive management. Chris held many executive roles at Medtronic Spine & Biologics before his tenure as President of Paradigm Spine, LLC and then President of CMS, LLC, a medical device distribution entity. Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tampa and Masters of Business Administration degree from Chaminade University. Chris furthered his Executive Education by attending courses at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Over his career, Chris has held several appointments as board member and volunteer, including Co-Chair of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation of New York City and Board Chairman of One Family Memphis / Memphis Rox.

Eric A. Stookey – Chief Operating Officer

Eric A. Stookey joined OsteoRemedies® as the Chief Operating Officer in March of 2015 to assist the organization in further developing and executing a strategy to address surgeons’ needs by providing simple solutions to complex disorders for revision and infection remedies.

Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Mr. Stookey most recently served as the President of the Extremities-Biologics division at Wright Medical Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:WMGI) until 2014. Mr. Stookey served in various other marketing and sales positions at Wright Medical Group, Inc. since 1995, including the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Vice President North American Sales, Senior Director of Sales – Central Region, and Director of Marketing for Large Joint Reconstruction Products. He also worked for DePuy Orthopedics, Inc. from 1993 to 1995.

Mr. Stookey earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from Christian Brothers University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the Indiana University School of Business. In addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Stookey continues to serve as an independent member of the Board of Directors for SiNtx Technologies, Salt Lake City, UT (Nasdaq: SINT) and previously served for Cartiva, Inc., Alpharetta, GA, until the successful acquisition of the business by Wright Medical Group, Inc in 2018.

Phillip S. Ramsey – Sales & Marketing Manager

Phillip S. Ramsey joined OsteoRemedies® as the Field Specialist in May of 2016 to lead the organization’s product service support for the respective product lines. During his time as Field Specialist, Mr. Ramsey used his previous medical device sales experience and worked as a liason between the in-field sales team and corporate sales and marketing department to help OsteoRemedies® exceed customer expectations. In his new role as Sales & Marketing Manager, Mr. Ramsey will continue to oversee field sales and product support, with expanded duties to include the further development of programs such as marketing/advertising customer outreach, market analytics and industry educational opportunities to support the company’s continued growth.

Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Mr. Ramsey most recently was a Senior Sales Representitive for Medtronic Spine and Biologics until 2016. Before entering in the medical device industry Mr. Ramsey worked for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as District Manager until 2014.

Mr. Ramsey earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Memphis.

Rachel M. Kennedy – Scientific Affairs Manager

Rachel M. Kennedy joined OsteoRemedies® as the Scientific Affairs Manager in August 2018 to lead our scientific, research and product development operations of the business while providing the necessary technical support for our internal and field sales teams. Her drive to design and develop innovative technologies matches with the organization’s vision to provide meaningful and transformative infection remedies.

Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Rachel spent 3 years with Olympus working in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Research and Development with a focus on biomaterials based medical devices. Her research focused on dissolvable Chitosan based medical devices for use after Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS).

Rachel received her Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomaterials Engineering from Clemson University. Her thesis was focused on Tissue Engineering in the Laboratory of Orthopaedic Tissue Regeneration & Orthobiologics. She researched a biological solution for Intervertebral Disc Herniation in the form of a decellularized tissue based biomimetic patch for annulus fibrosus tissue regeneration.

Eric C. Matthews – R&D Engineer

Eric C. Matthews joined OsteoRemedies® as an R&D Engineer in August 2022 with the goal to expand upon the solutions available for revision and infection remedies. Eric has a strong passion for improving patient’s lives through product development that matches well with the organization’s mission to provide meaningful solutions to patients.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He completed an R&D co-op with Enovis (DJO) in the Advanced Technologies group with a focus on human clinical trials. He is committed to his ongoing learning and development through continuing education and attending industry meetings.

Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Eric worked as a Project Engineer at b-One Orthopedics and Development Engineer at Zimmer Biomet. He has accumulated 4 years of experience in total joint reconstruction and is excited to use that knowledge to expand upon the product portfolio of OsteoRemedies®.

Joe Grifone – Director of Customer Service

Joe Grifone joined OsteoRemedies® in February 2014. He is responsible for Customer Service Operations at OsteoRemedies®. He has 18 years of experience in Customer Service Operations in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Osteoremedies®, he spent 7 years in medical device as Customer Service Manager with Paradigm Spine in New York City. He also spent 8 years with Zimmer Spine (formerly Endius) in the same role, working in Plainville, MA.

Prior to his experience in the medical device sector, Mr. Grifone worked as Director of Operations for Mediq Mobile X-Ray & EKG in Westwood, MA for 8 years.

Mr. Grifone worked in various roles for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New England in Needham, MA for 16 years, including District Manager.

Robert C. Lynn – Business Intelligence Manager

Robert C. Lynn joined OsteoRemedies® as the Business Intelligence Manager in September 2018 to oversee our enterprise resource planning system and business process improvement. Mr. Lynn will also be responsible for supporting both sales and inventory management with effective reporting and forecasting. His understanding of business processes in the medical device industry and his experience investigating business requirements will support the company’s continued progression. Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Mr. Lynn spent nearly 7 years with Medtronic Spine and Biologics. During his time at Medtronic, he worked in Customer Care supporting the Spine Loaner process before joining a project to develop a field inventory management application reporting to Sales Enablement. Mr. Lynn ended his time with Medtronic as an IT Business Systems Analyst. Mr. Lynn earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Tennessee.

Brecken E. Allen – Finance and Accounting Manager

Brecken E. Allen joined OsteoRemedies® as the Finance and Accounting Manager in May of 2020 to lead the organization’s financial recording and reporting functions. In her integral role as Finance and Accounting Manager, Mrs. Allen ensures all finance and accounting procedures are completed efficiently, effectively and with exceptional quality. She also drives process improvements and implements positive change across the organization to support the company’s continued growth.

Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, Mrs. Allen spent 5 years in the Public Accounting sector preparing tax returns, compiling financials and completing bookkeeping for numerous business industries and high-wealth individuals. Additionally, she spent 7 years in the Private Accounting sector recording and reporting financials for the pharmaceutical, real estate and commercial paving industries.

Mrs. Allen is a Certified Public Accountant for the state of Tennessee, an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University.

Elisabeth Ramsey – Legal and Administrative Specialist

During her 15-year career, Elisabeth Ramsey has worked in the legal sector with local and regional law firms while directly serving attorneys, their staff and clients. Relying on her formal education and given her professional experience in the healthcare field, Elisabeth’s work focus for OsteoRemedies® is on contract audits & regulatory compliance but with ever-expanding duties and responsibilities that are complementary to the company’s continued growth and needs of its customers. She began assisting OsteoRemedies® as a legal consultant in March of 2019 before taking the role of Legal and Administrative Specialist in October of 2019. Elisabeth’s effort to create and provide beneficial solutions to frequent business challenges, her attention to detail with contractual matters and overall positive attitude makes Elisabeth a great addition to the OsteoRemedies® team.

Wyndynne Accardi – Customer Service Specialist

Wyndynne Accardi joined OsteoRemedies® as a Customer Service Specialist in April of 2019. She is responsible for providing support to customer inquiries in a timely, accurate and professional manner, while also supporting our sales/marketing and inventory management teams. Her understanding of business processes in the medical device industry, as well as, her experience with identifying/implementing both operational and systematic efficiencies will support the company’s continued progression. Prior to joining Osteoremedies®, Ms. Accardi, spent 11 years with NuVasive, Inc, where she worked in Customer Service supporting the Loaner process before becoming a Team Lead for the Surgery Fulfillment team, and ultimately in a role of Business Process Analyst. Ms. Accardi earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee.

Melissa Jones – Customer Service Specialist

Melissa Jones joined OsteoRemedies® as a Customer Service Specialist in November 2019. She brings with her over 12 years of successful customer service experience. For the past 6 years, Mrs. Jones has dedicated her experience to the medical industry as sales support which includes surgery fulfillment, logistics and inventory control at NuVasive, Inc. This relevant experience and excellent track record of customer interaction, will translate well into her new role, where she will support sales teams and hospitals, as well as marketing and inventory management to help OsteoRemedies® continue their focus on providing the highest level of customer service. Prior to beginning her career, Mrs. Jones earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Memphis.

Heather Barnes – Customer Service Specialist

Heather Barnes joined OsteoRemedies® as a Customer Service Specialist in July 2020. She brings with her over 19 years of successful customer service experience. Prior to joining OsteoRemedies®, for the past 10 years, Mrs. Barnes has built her experience in the medical device industry as sales support lead which includes surgery fulfillment, logistics and inventory control at NuVasive, Inc. This experience and excellent track record of customer service, will translate well into her new role, where she will support sales teams and hospitals, as well as marketing and inventory management to help OsteoRemedies® continue their focus on providing the highest level of customer service.
